I love yardsaling and people do get rid of perfectly good items. Good luck with your baby showers.

Other people are organizing the showers, and we haven’t asked anyone for anything. However, we know our families, and we know that on Tony’s side this is the first baby in a long time. Some people actually enjoy getting gifts for other people.

Baby showers (and other events, like parties to celebrate engagements) used to just be about family and friends gathering and celebrating the happy event. Then they got turned into gift giving and receiving bonanzas, which help fuel a lot of the debt and excessive stuff in the US.

We even have toddler sized clothes in the attic saved for my son.
